Switch on the ignition
Leave the pump connected and put a voltmeter across the two wires going into the tank should have 12volts.
Or disconnect and place a bulb across the wires, it should light up.
ANY SPARK AROUND THE PETROL TANK MAY CAUSE THE PETROL VAPOUR TO EXPLODE, SO PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
