Hi guys…long shot…but I thought I’d try….does anyone know how to wire this up…I’m getting an inverter that will supply the grid consumer unit but in the event of a power cut, it will disconnect the grid side and supply critical power to this box. I believe the grid side goes to the top rail and the critical side goes to the bottom rail. When the grid power is cut, a switch in this box on the top rail cuts the connection to the grid side and switches solar power to the critical bottom rail. It would really help me understand this better if someone knows where to make these connections…where do the inverters AC grid and AC load go in the box, where does the main consumer unit connect to and where does the critical load come from on the bottom rail…hope someone can help…thank you..Mike

Looking at the info on my own inverter, it seems there are two methods used in the UK, there are two different documents issued, and the dip switches on the inverter settings depends on which document is to be issued.

The installer needs to be registered so there is no way one can DIY the install. The inverter I have instructions shows a list of countries, and how it needs setting for each, so since your down as France, you will need to ask on a French forum as to how done there.

This subforum is specifically about UK electrics, I don't know why you keep posting this question in here when there is a non-UK forum!
