A bit about Ian Tomlinson RIP

LMB, about ten years ago, I bought a car, within 3 days I'd been stopped by the police on 3 occasions. It transpired that the previous owner had indeed been done for drink driving. When I was stopped the first time, the copper approached the car , looked at me and said "Oh it's not you." to which I replied " It most certainly is me." He explained about the previous owner and promised to put it on the database that the car had a new "innocent" owner. Obviously, this took longer than 3 days. Each time I was stopped it was because the car had been flagged up on the ANPR system. The police were therefore wasting their own time, as well as mine.
I have related on here, the time when my younger brother was victimised by the police, for which he received a hand written apology from the chief of Derbyshire police, so no one can tell me that the police don't victimise people, when they so obviously do. Police officers who behave this way are themselves guilty of wasting police time, but never face any charges of wilfully wasting police time , nor that of abusing their position as a public servant.

How dare they use information on past offenses to find drunk drivers. They should at least have the deceny to let them kill people before acting.

You have. You have wilfully wasted police time.
So they can waste my time, but I cannot waste theirs?
Your time isn't that important.
It is to me. How can you say my time is not important. My time is as important as the next man's.
If they are constantly pulling you over then they must have reason to do so. Are you involved with criminality or just driving a dodgy looking yoke?
No, I did explain before... can you not read?
Are you an alcoholic with driving convictions?
No and no. Been driving for 20 years, and had 2 speeding fines. I have never had any conviction for motor offences (unless speeding does count as a conviction).
Fuck me , lets hope not.
Sorry LMB, as much as I know you admire me, and know I am correct, I did feel.... how can I say...erm... apt that I respond. Have a nice evening chap.

I see. So you've had a beef with your neighbour.
Well your time isn't that important if you can sit in the back of their car for two hours reading a book purposely to waste their time.

If I have time to spare when stopped by the rozzers, I ask them if they'd care to have a go at catching real criminals like muggers, rapists, murderers, burglars and drug dealers, instead of stopping innocent motorists.
This usually has the desired result of them getting their back up and checking all round my car (so at least I know and they know the tyres and lights are ok). ;) ;) ;) ;)

Norc, I have said before, he isn't wasting their time. They are wasting their own time,,, and well they know it. If they know that by stopping him, he will gladly sit in the police car reading through the book, then more fool them. ;) ;) ;) ;)

A book provided by them for you to read.

It's human nature to complain when there's a problem;while compliments fall short when all goes well.

After 13 years in the NHS, I can count on one hand the thank you cards I've received. But when something goes wrong, something which isn't even my doing or fault, I'm the devil incarnate.

Shoot the messenger, or something like that...

We know that john. My original point was, it wastes time that could be vitally needed elsewhere.

Yes or no???

misterdubya must know it off by heart.
You don't know misterdubyas criminal history. What he writes here is just hearsay. He says he's had an "incident" with a neighbour.
For all we know he could have assaulted him (or shoved him from behind) so the police will have good reason to keep tabs on him.

And continually pulling him over achieves what exactly?

Continually? How many times are you suggesting he has read this book?

Never seemed to give the Met reason to keep tabs on Harwood, did it ? ;) ;) ;)

Yes LMB,,, And my point, is that it's the police wasting their own time. They ain't bothered about their time being vitally needed elsewhere though.(specially if it involves hardened criminals, who may fight back)
