Did the end of the 'cold war' result in a strategic loss, given the current world problems?..... With, by the looks of it, more to come.

simple

give taiwan there own nukes let them fight it out as it will happen some time has to as china want it back

see this is what liberalism gives you now that china have a lot of weapons capable of intercontinental strikes it is trying to brow beat the west

we should never have allowed them to have this technollogy

would it be better for the west to hit them now first strike etc and annialate this threat

or wait till they have even more capablility

liberals my a**** time to stand up and be counted

my views are to be taken litterally as i am a dangerous individual with megalomaniac tendencies

Unfortunately since the demise of the USSR, the USA has had a free reign. Power corrupts, Absolute power corrupts absolutely. To maintain balance, we need another nation to take over the where Russians left off. Even saint Bush could be tempted by the dark side.

Better still scrap all nukes.

Sadly, too late ! The mushroom like, smoky Genie is out of the bottle ....

Best chance will be an effective defence .. one day, given time and shed loads of dosh ... It will come.
Imagine the power a nation will hold, when it can properly and undeniably prove that it's particular defence will automatically and effectively take out 99.9% of (potential) incoming crud preferably seconds after launch, ensuring a little 'ownback' .. Just who is likely to afford that ... da dda da da daa ....

:D :D :D :D

Sometimes it is better to not open your mouth than confirm to all that you are really an idiot
