A not so secret meeting...

Quick, get on to that bloke and see if he wants to join this DIY forum - we could do with a few more of those non-DIY related posts on here. I’m sure people are getting sick and tired coming onto this forum to find out useless information about plumbing, electrical and building jobs.
I think there are specific sections for plumbing, electrical etc

You not understand the written? I didn't recognize these sunlit uplands when we was in. It's no use telling me how bad it is now, that's in the hands of the government of the day which is rightly so.
We have the opportunity to vote them out, not something that is afforded me if I want to change the eu government.

if I want to change the eu government.

The EU government is nothing to do with you. Brexers voted to resign and give up their vote.

If you want to change the UK government, can you do it? No.

if you are putting that to me ?

then yes, I understand the written word. But rarely understand yours. Any idea why ?

Let me repeat for you. The sunlit uplands were the benefit s of leaving the EU.

How did we get to be governed by different political parties. Id suggest because there was a groundswell of opinion against the government of the day, much as there is now.

Your post does not make sense.

If you want to change things you can only do it by joining with other people who share your views. Have you ever managed to change a government? A town council? A parish council? The committee of your stamp-collecting club? A leader of the Conservative party? The Supreme Commander of NATO? Did you ever get to vote for Farage? Or Truss? Did you manage to get the Brexit you thought you wanted? Did Johnson ask you what you wanted? Did you tell him? Did the Daily Mail?

Ask your local MP how much Brexit has cost the UK since we voted to leave. Then tally that against the paltry sum membership cost us per year. Have a tissue handy. (y)
That’s like asking an abused partner how much it cost financially to split from their abuser compared to staying with them. They’ll tell you it’s not always about money.

Do you not understand the term groundswell of opinion JD?
Blair got in because there was a groundswell of opinion at the time so people got off their arse and went out to vote.
The same happened with the referendum. For years the country suffered voter apathy because of the ineptitude of the politicians they had to choose from. This all changed at the referendum where there were record turnouts in parts of the country. Something that caught the politicians by surprise.

what is it about then? All these deals ?

Well the Uk will have to stand on its own feet now

The remoaners will have to as well

No point constantly whinging over the caper

The one thing that has become apparent over this brexit caper is who in Europe were not our friends

Yes exactly them scoundrels 20 miles away on the other side of the channel

The Brexers. A bunch of scoundrels. 40 years of constant whinging, followed by another five. And still not stopped

Nonsense. Crap analogy.
How did the UK suffer abuse at the hands of the EU whilst we were members? Denial of crowns on pint pots?

FFS mottie.

Nothing wrong with standing on our feet. We've done it for years.

But why walk away from a big powerful club that helped us get great deals, to replace with what ?

List the benefits, let's have an open assessment of them and see how much better off we are than the French and others

How about those who voted brexit who had absolutely no interest in any finacial benefit (??) of being in the EU

But voted on the principal

Why does every thing in your world have to revolve around money ???
