just for small screws and nothing else
just for 4" plus screws
or a hammer drill to cover everything up to 4 inches

I don't need it to hammer drill, I've got a good hammer drill already. I'd lie to use it for screws, small and large.

that price £175 should include an impact a torch and the drill driver

drill driver hear for 1 ton
http://www.axminster.co.uk/bosch-bosch-gsr108-2-li-drill-driver-li-ion-108v-prod858204/

i have just used that 10.8v and driven a 4" screw no probs
i have the old 14.4v nicad bosch and it worked a treat also so the lithium should be slightly better

if you are planning on doing decking or similar heavy drilling suggest you play with an impact driver the difference is day and night
an impact will pull a 4" screw head into the work for an inch or so

Thanks Big_all! This trio costs £189.95 at the Tool Shop. I couldn't find this set for £175. Can you point me in the right direction?

dont know where its gone may be time limited

i bought it to update my impact and thought it was the the new hammer drill but found out it was just the the drill driver

you wont be disappointed very light very powerful for the size

the strap belongs to the impact :D
should have said you will need impact bits like wera as it eats normal bits for breakfast:cool:  [soft bits around 3 to 20 big screws] get a 2" bit for countersinking

as an aside 90% off wood screws are a pz2 driver bit do not use a ph philips bit

Thanks big_all. Can you send a link for the right bits (better if I can find it at screwfix cuase I plan to use it over the weekend). I've been looking for 2" hex wera impact bits but was unsure which one to pick. Most bits are 1" long

you can buy them in a box
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Pow...t+Boxes+PZ2+Bits+BDC+Diamond/d80/sd650/p87954

these are 2" the picture is wrong
http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Pow...+Screwdriver+Bit+PZ+2+x+50mm/d80/sd620/p73182

only use the short bits in an impact if you are only just taking the screw head flush to the surface otherwise you will strip the head and bit when the front hits the wood
or use the small bits in the clip in extension bar where a bit more protrudes

free postage over £10

The Bosch driver and impact drivers are a good buy! thanks for your advice

glad to be off help :D :D
enjoy your new toy

and remember you can top up charge li-ions as in the night before or in the morning whilst you have a shower give both batteries a 15 or 20 min charge to top them up

remember most off the charging happens in the first 15 mins off charging
a flat battery will be around 50% charged
