You can't register as unemployed if you are not.
The Job Centre do all the checks and it is a way of getting the layabouts back to work.

I tried to get on last year but they would not accept me due to medical reasons. I passed all the assessments with flying colours but failed the medical.
Good course though if you can get on, as they train you up properly but you are required to work in the industry once qualified and can not go back on the social.

Don`t get too excited, making the leap from plumber to gas engineer is quite a big deal, although I did find out that there was no difference in being a plumber to being an engineer, you just had to know the difference between the way in which they were carried. Gas is dangerous..if water leaks.. you get wet.. if gas leaks... it`s quite scary, really...sleep tight....

Kevplumb, I cannot believe your continual hostility toward me, I am a fully qualified plumber & have worked for many years as one, I happened to do a gas course, took eight months of working for nothing....just don`t understand the hostility...

i'd rather do a gas run and discover a leak than install a c/h system and get a leak when ur trying to fill up at 1700 hrs
