Add socket to existing ex immersion cable

Hi, I have a non ring cable (2.5 TE fed from a 16a mcb) that terminates to a spur outlet that feeds a loft mounted PIV ventilation fan (5a fuse in spur outlet to the fan). This cable used to go to an immersion heater (now gone) and reused to run the loft fan (and nothing else). Where the end of the 2.5 TE is terminated in the spur outlet could another run of 2.5 feed a double 13a 3pin socket in a nearby cupboard?

Yes it is, fusebox was replaced in 2010 so should be ok.
