whats the switch for?

the 3 pir lights all go in paralell

The switch is to control them as he only wants one switch to control them all. One is to the front, back and gable end of the house the Lamps that is!

well if you want one switch to control them all the live goes to the switch first , then back to the jb.

all the lights are still wired in paralel.

the lives go to the switched live the neutrals and eartyhs go to their respective terminals

I kinda understand but what I mean is where do they all fit in the JB as there is the supply from the 5amp FCU the switch wire and 3 lamps all in the JB seems rather cramped would not what you said means that the switch would do nothing and they would all be permanently live.
