Hi All

im currently renovating my newly purchased house and am planning on adding a radiator but it is on a concrete floor... there are a few things i need to understand before i go about this:

1 what tools are best to use for cutting a hole in the concrete to lay my pipes in? most effeiciant way possible!

2 i will have to go through the concrete at a right angle 30cm or so into it(so will the Pipes) is this acceptable? (it will come out of my living room from under the floorboards along the concrete floor about 30cm then at a 90 degree angle for another 130cm to reach the wall to hang the radiator)

3 how deep will the holes need to be?

4 what pipes do i lay e.g. copper or plastic? and how do i cover them up after?

any answers to these would be greatly appreciated!

personally i only ever install radiators on a WALL not a Concrete FLOOR

but to cut a concrete floor i use a twin blade cutter and then a chisel bit in a SDS drill to break out the middle.

I've no idea if this would be possible in your case, but could you run 10mm plastic coated copper pipe behind a suitable skirting board? Saves loads of mess if you can.

for me to do that i would have to go behind my electricty supply coming into the house (below the consumer unit - iv tried to upload a foto and added a link too?)

is it legal to do this?

what are the rules on pipes and electricity supply coming into the house - is there acertain distance it has to be away from the wall or would a plastic pipe be ok?
