Advice on how to plaster a brick wall (high suction ???)

Lining paper is the reason I taught myself to skim, I always thought it looks like someone has been to lazy to remove the old wallpaper and instead painted over it. In my humblest of opinions, a painted nice plaster finish is a superb finish Give the job a go, follow marshman's advice
