Advice on water ingress surveys

Hi all,

I am hoping to get some advice on how water ingress/roof leak detection surveys work.

Have anyone had one before and what would be their review?

My feeling is that they will just identify lots of things and say it could be any of them, but likely not actually be able to give any certainty on the actual cause?

What's people's experiences?

Never heard of it?
Roof survey yes but not to find a leak.
If a roof has felt lift tiles and look for water marks.

Roof at work has just been replaced again because of water leaking. That's twice in 3 years. Still leaking
