Hi there is a huge choice of Amplifiers and splitters and i havent got a clue what to get...
Is a amplifier, then a splitter a good idea e.g.

http://www.screwfix.com/prods/29730...bgear-8-Way-Splitter-with-Powerpass-All-Ports
or a combined amp splitter
http://www.screwfix.com/prods/69457...abgear-HDU681-S-Home-Distribution-Unit-8-Way#
I really like the f type connectors as they screw on.
also to complicate the issue.
Just had virgin installed. i have the whole house wired with a decent quality digi-coax cable (CT100). and was wondering if i can link it all together.
One of the coax cables terminates next the to the virgin cable. I was wondering if i could use this cable as an internal feed to the loft, and then send it back down the other cables where ever i wanted my set top box..
very grateful for advice before is splash the cash on the wrong thing.
Cheers
