No.1 son uses it all the time, in various different countries and has never had any issues.

We went to Alicante and Abersoch and both those properties were top notch.

In fact, in Alicante, the guy who owned the flat asked his brother to help us with shopping when we couldn't get a taxi back from Aldi. Bent over backwards, bless him!

He had a really beat up Laguna estate with a front passenger door that was falling to bits and a tailgate that 99/100 would not shut. And for some bizarre reason, it would not start unless the headlights were on.

AirBnB is fine and they offer protection against scammers. I've airBnB'd a lot both letting and using. You can make a lot more money renting out than standard tenancy and without all the controls. But the government are consulting on changing the rules at the moment to limit people to 90 days unless they apply for planning permission. This will likely see prices go up and availability go down.
