Is foamcrete, then, a safe building material? I've been reviewing all the DIY stuff I can find online... want to make a foam generator to mix w/ cement slurry... one guy claims dishwashing liquid works but everyone else says it won't? Recommendations?
You can't use dishwashing liquid as they contain sulfates which attack the concrete.
If you are just diying a slab or something small then I don't see why you can't do it yourself, there are pump machines for commercial foam generation.
Arguably an aircrete 3.6 N/mm2 block is going to be stronger than a 3.6 N/mm2 aggregate block, because less of its strength is used up in carrying its own dead weight.
Tony I think they mean if you're building a whole wall out of it, you have more residual strength for things on top as the bottom blocks aren't heavily loaded by the ones above. But unless you're building a block of flats or something I'm not expecting an issue!
