Can somebody please offer any advice on an Alarm Fault. I have a Euro Meridian alarm which shows a fault reading (call engineer, battery fault 100) I have an operators manual but there are no entries of who fitted the alarm, no telephone number, or when it was fitted. Is this a job I could do myself and if so how? as I want to try to avoid an engineers costly call out.

probably needs a new battery, open it take the old one out and put a new one in, but dont forget to date the new one.

batteries can be obtained from maplin also screwfix, other suppliers of lead acid batteries are also available

Thanks for the reply breezer, excuse me for sounding thick, but is this battery located behind the keypad? if so is there anything i nhave to be aware of?

Hi GreyBadger did that work as I have exactly the same problem, Was the panel on the wall (IE keypad) or the box probably locacted under the staires

the small box is a keypad, it has no room for a battery, the battery is in the end station, which is the big box (under your stairs)

Hello nisimmo

Yes it did work, i had'nt a clue where the battery was or how big it was, however, I found the box in the airing cupboard, a large white box. Remove the cover after isolating power supply, unclip battery and fit new. The alarm will go off on tamper mode, reset your alarm with code, refit your panel. job done. I got my battery from Screwfix approx £15.00
