Ever heard of a flapless approach :?: :p :p

that's called crashing isn't it?

flapless would be all well and good but doesn't that mean your air speed is a lot faster on approach as you need to keep the lift up..
I suppose it would be fine if you had a long enough runway to slow down on...
 
A long runway would help, also landing into the wind, as you should do.
 
now, if you landed on a conveyor belt that was going the same speed as the plane, but in the opposite direction.......
 
you couldnt land on one as you'd never have taken off in the first place
