Let me try a couple of examples to see if you can recognise the prejudice and intolerance which I think is so bad:

It is very easy to find someone who is different.
We have seen that when the intolerant are allowed to gain enough influence, they can slaughter whoever they perceive as different. This has happened, and continues to happen, all over the world, including modern Europe.

I think everyone of us is intolerant to some degree. Even JohnD has shown in his posts, his intolerance of others views.
The points people have made on here about religious minorities etc hold some degree of truth. Muslims in this country do appear to be very intolerant of the people and the country they have decided to live in. They make very little attempt to integrate fully into our society. They want their own laws.
Q: Would they allow us to have our own laws if we lived in their country?
A: No they would not. So why want their own rules here??
The PC brigade have made things very difficult for indigenous British people to speak against the upsurge of immigration, Islam, etc. We are all branded racists everytime we open our mouths to express our own feelings on the matter. A sad state of affairs.

I include among the intolerant all those who spout spurious reasons why people who are in some way different from themselves, do not deserve to be treated with decency and humanity
I remember when Britain recently suffered 30 years of attacks, shootings and bombings by a group based in another European country. These people were almost without exceptions of a particular nationality, a particular heritage, and a particular religion. It would not have been right that all people of this nationality, or this heritage, or this religion, should be expelled, or denied the normal protection of our customs and laws.

They have been slaughtering each other for centuries and have envied the English way of life for centuries IMO.
OK so our own history isn't exactly a rose bed of tolerance but its a long way ahead of europe.
We are controlled by europe now and they dictate (along with complicity from our own breed of liberal elite corrupt politicians) just how we should behave with regard to tolerating peoples of differing religions, ethnicities and colours.

This new world order of tolerance that we are supposed to embrace is the building blocks of conflict IMO.

you get stopped for speeding
you have roudy youths in the park opposit the shopping centre
the train you catch to work is always 10 mins late in to manchester
you can never get parked in b&q at lunch time because it full people using the mosque
taxi drivers are always pushing in
scoda cars are very unreliable
we should form opinions on all the facts
but to be honest we only notice the negative things and because thats what gets our attention and spoil our comfort zone they get the most attention
it will only be 1 or 2% percent off people in our area that we form our opinions on
so in general if you live in an area where ethnic minoritys are few and far between
where the police have a very easy time where parking is a dodle
as opposed to another area where trains can be late due to lack off investment gangs are rife ect ect
we will all form opinions on what we see and assume its country wide its easy for me in leafy surrey where where all crimes are at 50 to 90% less than the average to pass jugment on others who have continuos problems
in other words both sides off the argument find it hard to understand the others point off veiw because it an alien concept to there way off life
