Then perhaps, being the pedant you claim to be, you should have pointed out the error in Ellals choice of words for the question asked in the thread title.

"And the winner is?" is a much more catchy title, and more likely to attract peoples attention than, "And the money market following Brexit currently in the lead is?" don't ya think.
Ellal does not then go onto use the expression about being a winner in his comment.

I might start a thread entitled, "Snowflakes" which is nothing about snowflakes.
Or a thread about New Zealand, which is nothing about New Zealand.
