I had a squirrel in my loft. I had previously seen a large black bird possibly nesting in the corner of the roof where two faces and the gutter met.
A pest control guy told me that squirrels look at birds returning to the nest and remember the site as a "possible"
The squirrel had gnawed it's way through the ridge and made a nest. Once up a ladder I could see the old bird's nest.
I was advised to soak a rag in Jeyey's fluid to hide any scent as new squirrels will investigate
