Another BBC presenter bites the dust.

Lineker? As an ex-footballer, he made the transition into presenting pretty good it seems. In demand and highly paid. I can see why the RWR despise him though - he doesn't feed them enough right wing drivel. Telling the truth is bad for the RWR.

I saw an interview with Richard Osman about all things TV, and he said that the BBC sell MOTD around the world for big bucks and GL is the main selling point, maybe true maybe not
Dunno, but it was certainly true of topgear, they got away with a lot and were only “sacked” after they sold their company (and therefore the world tv rights) to the beeb. Still laughing at how how the DM led the charge protecting the good name of the arggies over the number plate fiasco. Their hatred of the bbcee meant they supported our (ongoing) adversary, you couldn’t make it up……..

Multiple women coming forward apparently, his wife is (currently) standing by the multi-millionaire ...
How are these ex-footballers worth so much?
Damned if i can see the insight they bring to any discussion on football that i don't hear from fans and how is it worth nearly £200k to make small talk on telly?

As long as you could be assured they wouldn't freeze when on camera, it's ironic to think shows like MOTD would probably be more entertaining if they featured off the street fans (who know their football) as opposed to most of the usual suspects who, as you say, get paid a fortune.

Some off-topic posts have been removed
Typical GD thread, starts off about a BBC presenter getting the sack, soon gets diverted onto one of the usual suspect topics, in this case migrants.

Around the turn of the Millenium, Sky Sports opened the 'FanZone' on Monday Night Football for a fan from each team to commentate on the game. The quality was mixed, but the lad from Bolton was very funny and knew his stuff. It showed how difficult it is to commentate on a match and remain lucid but i fail to see how Jenas is worth so much money for talking about a game after fulltime, or for chatting to people on a sofa. Two hundred f'king grand! Is he worth it? Not for me Clive.
