I have a tarmac drive on a hill and under trees. Consequently it gets leaves and moss on it. No matter how many times I try to remove the moss and the leaves it becomes slippery when wet.
I have tried painting on a path of supposed anti-slip paint with grit on top but unfortunately this has lost its rough surface and is ineffective.
I then tried getting grit surfaced sticky tape that was supposed to stick to everything, even rough surfaces. It lasted until we had a couple of good rain storms and came off.
Can anyone suggest what I can do as the thought of coping with my 86 year old mother in law with a broken leg doesn't bear thinking about.
I have thought of using bituminous paint or similar to stick the tape back down or could I paint steps and put a rough grit on it.
Any thoughts please?

Help greatly appreciated

Thanks

David

You'll always struggle against nature, on this one. Once you said 'under trees' you were doomed, especially with pitted tarmac. The only thing that would keep the surface clear and clean is plenty of traffic. Without it, nature will win.
