Hardly any take up of vaccines in countries like South Africa and were they dying in droves? No. Yet, people of an Afro-Caribbean background were highest at risk in the UK. How does that work?

Since, we've seen even more excess deaths here but not from Covid. But those who in the media who cried about how we all needed to stay locked down and masked up forever aren't interested anymore. Strange.

Instead of the mere 100,000 deaths they reported they might have had 300,000 and they had almost twice the total number of excess deaths during the pandemic period than we did.

I doubt there is anything on the scale of the Covid jab to compare with. Billions of doses administered in a short time frame - with insignificant harm. Incredibly safe. Safer than Calpol boyo.

The spring booster campaign will be, as expected, more restricted than the recent autumn campaigns – targeting adults aged 75 and over, older people in care homes and children and adults who are immunosuppressed. The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), which makes recommendations to government, says it is using a “bespoke, non-standard method of cost-effectiveness assessment” to inform priorities moving forward, but full details of its analysis are not available yet (the JCVI said material for its spring campaign will be published “in due course”). Looking ahead at the coming rollouts, and reading between the lines, it seems likely the number of groups offered boosters will continue to shrink.
