Why did you have to move it?

Usually a neutral wire connected to the wrong neutral bar is the cause. (On the circuit which cause a trip when used)

No confusion - it's as plain as day.

Spark got it sorted. The CU neutral was wired back onto the wrong rail so it was going back onto itself...

So what kind of w***** electrician did you use in the first place, who not only made a mistake like that but then walked away and left you to deal with the consequences?

So I've had a new cu installed but I had to move it

Sparky did it late on on Sat then fixed it first thing Sunday. No drama, thanks for all the help (and speculation ) tho.

I guess he did not tick the "Functional Test" box on the Installation Certiciate then
