UKIP is on its death throes after their success in achieving an EU referendum. Come March 2019 (B-Day), the Tories will turn on themselves to force another leader election and possible general election. I certain Mr Aaron Banks may show his cards if the Tories only achieve a soft Brexit with many EU strings attached.
I think you will find that it was the Tories in power at the time.
Farage was just a sideshow.
