Jet2 are actually up there with the better airlines I have flown on recently. Nicely kitted out aircraft and better legroom than most. Up there with Monarch (leg room).

Was the hoover power not part of the EU decision making?
I can remember it being in the news a couple of years ago. I thought it was a ban on powerful hoovers and that's why there was a mad rush to buy em up.

Indeed, I like Jet2 and frequently fly from their home airport, OBL international... I always book extra legroom though

Folk like Woodbine/juniorservile and Firegrouch give up at the first sign of something being a bit difficult.... They like to live in their comfort zone and are terrified of facing a challenge.

All the directive does is set up a framework for design. It does not ban, for example, energy-wasting fridges or other inefficient products.
I think Corgibrand means that in some way, there is something in the directive that prevents him from doing something that he wants to do.
But he can't or won't say what it is that he is prevented from doing.
Are we going to have a guessing game?
Is he going to award prizes for the guess nearest to what he wants?
More likely this is just another one of his many ploys to waste people's time to no good end. He's told us before that he likes to do that.
Come clean, winker, and tell us what (if anything) you think you are prevented from doing.

We gave it 40 odd years and it doesn't seem to fit our requirements.... The Brits like to do their own thing and they don't really care for being guinnea pigs in a social experiment. We'll look over and see how the Germans and French are getting on with their social experiment if that is OK with you, you know, send in troops as part of a British, Russian, American rescue plan to save those silly Europeans from their own stupidity.....Again......They never learn, do they?

One obscure item? Is that it? You are basing the irrepressible clutches of the EU on tampon tax? How is that a restriction on things that we enjoy doing? Is tampon tax an all encompassing and suffocating burden to the freedom of UK citizens?
