Any leeway on boiler services?

Got the original installer servicing it right now. He's Vaillant approved (I know that means sod all) but as he installed it I got a 7 year guarantee with it anyway. He's got my mates son with him who is doing some training for his gas safe portfolio/qualification. More like a photo shoot than a service! At least I can assume it will be done properly if it’s all being fully documented and photographed.
