Looking back at that list, I can well believe that most of them appear at the top of the list, but Norwich, Wakefield and Torbay?

Don't really know about Torbay or Norwich but I have been to wakefield and although not the greatest place I would not say its a crime hotspot... but I think the reason the big cities are not in there as they are now well policed and the smaller outlying areas are not..... but for me personally the most dangerous place I have witnessed is Nottingham but that is just from my experience but the stats say otherwise

Surely they is outlying districts of Beirut - Innit ? The only areas where girl's skirts end up as headbands.

My experience of Blackpool wouldn't have put it in the list, let alone at the top. Had many a night out there for various reasons/occasions over the years and other than a woman earlier this year who was so drunk she couldn't stand up without two of her friends propping her up, and the police wouldn't let her on the train (and that was at 8:30pm!!) and a bloke who thumped someone in pub and knocked him clean out, I've never seen any trouble or fights. The woman was more amusing than causing any trouble for anyone and considering how busy it gets, that doesn't seem at all dangerous to me??
