This is an example of why the Church is so out of touch with reality these days and is losing followers hand over fist.

In fact, it's worse than that. It is indicative of a much greater movement in this country to decry the good things that people have done in the past to make the country great.

Now, it's all about how bad we are and how do-gooders can we make the country worse!

Dresden = 25,000 dead

57 consecutive nights of bombing on London

Revenge?

Isn't that war?

Germany started its blitz on 7 Sep 1940 and it lasted for 51 consecutive nights. 40,000 civilians were killed.

The bombing of Dresden killed between 18,000 and 25,000 according to Spiegel on-line.

Who owes who an apology?

Don't get me wrong, I worked in Germany for two years and enjoyed almost every day of it. I found the Germans friendly and hard working.

It seems to be the done thing these days to apologise or feel deep sorrow, for historical things we had absolutely no control over.
