Are Push Fit connectors any good?

Don't think so though it isn't a material I us as a habit on comp joints. THe softness of the copper stops you doing the nut up tight cos the stuff just deforms hopelessly, whereas lubricant on a brass olive joint doesn't stop you making it tight.

I find copper olives are ok most of the time - especially on bigger joints eg 35mm and up. And handy on things like tap flexies under a sink where you can't really reach!

Does all that extra effort make compression better, more durable/reliable than cuprofit?
Or is solder still king if you want a dependable joint thats going to last?
