I'm a sparky by trade and going self employed on the next few weeks. As part of my job I could be fitting showers etc so have been looking at public liability quotes which include plumbing cover and soldering (which Unfortunatly pushes the price up) however I don't have Any plumbing qualifications. Do you actually need any to work with water or is it a case of being competent? Thanks Chris.

There are no requirements for qualification to work on water unlike gas and electric, as you say though you should be competent... especially if youre in somebody elses house.

Cheers all. Yes that's what I thought. I'm competent just not got the paper work.
