Hello folks I have some 10 mm armoured cable running to a shed. My electrician said that the wire is not earthing but it has a joint in the armoured cable. I am wanting to test both armoured cables to see what one doesn’t have earth. Everything is disconnected from the mains electric. Am I still able to test if the Earth is fine without being connected to any electric?

Not really sure what you mean.
Does that include the earth connection?
Well - you could test for continuity of the earth conductor and the armour from one end of the cable to the other.
Do you have a multimeter?
I do have a multimeter yes, it’s 3 core armored cable and everything is disconnected including earth so it’s just 3 core armored cable on its own. I’d like to check if the earth is ok and not damaged.

Then just check from end to end on both the earth conductor and the armour.
The earth conductor should read the same as the Line and Neutral conductors - 1.83mΩ per metre for 10mm².
