Somehow I doubt that very much. There are countless, very sad cases, where born in the UK and westernised, Asian girls, have commited suicide rather than be lumbered in an arranged marraige. Others have also been murdered by the family for the same thing. They are even more at risk should they also ignore their own and choose a "foreigner", such as Slogger, even though he sounds a decent chap.

On a serious point, immigrants may commit more crime which may include rape and muggings because that would be more the norm from where they came from, and when in a new country seeing that people may not be so as defensive regarding those crimes as where the immigrant came from, then he may see it as easy pickings.

Of course then those immigrants being probably black will make up a larger number of those partaking in those crimes, this may have been the way before but with more East Europians immigrating then they will appear to be making up the numbers.

How is the norm in any country to commit these horrible crimes
that doesnt make sense to me really. its not the norm in america, boy you should see the crime rates there. so its not to do with social trend i think or what country you belong to.

You have chosen to ignore the most important word more as in more like the norm, which is what was actually said.

What this means is the places where some people come from are more violent and have higher crime rates than here. Obviously if you lived in such a country you would be more streetwise than many people are here. Hence they see our unsuspecting and maybe even careless as easy targets.

America is a different animal in that being so large the crime rates vary enormously between states. You could probably use their figures to show anything you wanted to. I have never heard of any asylum seekers coming from the US to the UK though, have you?

In all fairness I don't think crime rates and colour can be compared in the UK, unlike the US which does break down the figures, we choose not to do so, probably for obvious reasons.

I didnt say the norm, i said more the norm meaning that the crimes may be more prevelant than in some countries.

Most black people in Britain came from the West Indies, not known for it's zero crime rate.

Other black people now come from Africa also not known for it's zero crime rate.

Today East Europeans come in and show up quite often in crime and serious crime, East Europe is certainly not known for it's low crime rate.

What the hell has America got to do with what i said, i dont think we have many people from the states wanting to live in the UK more the other way round, also America would have a far lower crime rate than the places i have mention.

I always believe that most crime is the way you are bought up and because of the usual up bringing a lot of British people had then certain crimes never appeared often, but things change and also immigrants from countries who would have had a different way of life as to what is accepted or tolerated even though illegal have come so i think it is a thing of the future and now you have no choice but to accept it.
