I pop back in for an update, and you lot are talking about the weather ffs... I kinda hoped a discussion about the "enemy of the west" was slightly more important than "another bloody wind farm"!!!!!!!
Hmmm.
They had a modern infrastructure and modern levels of population that previous leaders did not have access or control of, they wielded levers of power that never before existed.
You'd have to make a convincing argument that they were more effective murderers because they where atheist, rather than because what modern infrastructure and supply lines afforded them.

It's a bit like 5% of car crashes involved red cars, say... so 95% was involving 'not red' cars... therefore if you're a blue car (and therefore not red) you're 95% more likely to have an accident !!

Why not just shed the Religions and start believing in God directly, cut out all the middle men, and disillusioned Priests , Mullahs and Pandits and Rabais, come and join me in my prayers directly to God the Almighty.
The fact, that i have just proven time and again that God does exist, in a form of Energy, so we can't dismiss that, to pray to him directly would indeed be the only correct method of worship instead of through various religions which all contradict one another and amongst themselves , so much so that everyone is trying to justify that their religion is a true religion, but the truth is far from factual.
PRAYER:
So please start after me,
All mighty Energy, we are humbled to you for our existence, for you are the might that sustains this universe with Billion upon billion of galaxies each with Billions of stars, suns and moons, Oh mighty energy, without you there would be no light, no air, no earth, no plants and no animals, You the mighty energy are the true Lord of the Universe, without you we would be nothing, there would be nothing, we bow to you and there is none other than your true self, worthy of our prayers. Oh Mighty Energy you are indestructible and you are omnipotent and omnipresent , we shall forever be grateful to you. Amen.

Energy cannot talk , judge , reason , least of all make decisions and create things. Energy is as energy does. If it creates environments where things happen they will happen.
Indeed energy may have been responsible for everything but you cannot engage with it you may as well say GOD is a wooden spoon.
You have just given the perfect reason for atheism to make sense.
The sooner man realises that no other diety is in control and your destiny within your lifetime comes solely from yourself the better for all.

But that's just it Matt, what's the point of learning anything if that learning is lost in a life that is ultimately pointless? Why bother? It makes no sense to live if there is no purpose other than hedonism, and that is why Islam is filling the void.
