I read in PE aboout this cable and doubts about it's compliance, any one know which outlets supplied this brand as I have seen a lot of poorly maked T&E of late

The vast majority were selling it at one time, i raised concerns about a batch a couple of months before the recall myself.

I stick exclusively to Prysimian (old Pirelli/BICC) now, its not as cheap but i know there wont be any call-backs to it.

Still not yet mastered their stupid 'dispenser' boxes yet tho!

In a quarter of a century sparking (or apprenticing), neither have I!!

Ditto, a waste of cardboard IMO.
And the ends of the reel fall off if you sneeze at them leaving 95metres of coily T&E lying in a heap.

Are there any Prysimian directors on this forum???

Its the singles that **** me off - A few years a go a brand new drum would still have an inch of cardboard on the drum to prevent the able from slipping of the coil.

The newer drums have the cardboard drum sut the same height as the last coil - meaning when you have your drums on a stand and pull, you always end up with one cable slipping off and coiling around your bar.....you then need to get back off your steps/scaffold etc and sort it out again. Atleast for the first good few meters!
