I think I'll stick with my prysmian cable. 
Yikes. Just went to double check the Newys cable and it is in fact DRAKA. They have seemed to have adopted this strange 'figure of eight' design also.
Edit: hold your foot up that link is for recall of ATLAS cable. I installed ATOM cable.
So I rephrase : ' don't fear the ATOM kablo'
Or just buy British.

I doubt that there is any guarantee that "British" cable is made in Britain.
I do not doubt that most of it is made abroad.
I would not be very surprised to find that some of it is made in the same factories as brands which have had recalls.
