Hi everyone - long time reader first time poster. I’ll start with the main question, is anyone familiar with connecting their home to an existing external garage via a new extension? Let me explain.
we live in a 3 bed semi with drive away to the side. Our garage door is only 1.25m from the back of our house, so it’s really close. At 7x3m it’s also rather big for a single garage. We converted the back half into an office during lockdown and now have grander plans. We think that the extension would likely be 4 x 3, and since most of the garage is already converted, we thought it was an easy way to add 33sq m to our ground floor!
So am I missing anything? Or are we genuinely in a blessed position where we can get a lot of room added to our home for a fairly low cost extension?
Couple of things we have identified in regards to the garage. It has a pitched roof and same brick as the house. It’s also on a concrete slab foundation.
