Attack ads

The ad is misleading, the source data included convictions when the current PM wasn't even an MP. It included convictions under policy set during labours time in government and of course it includes technical offences which should not warrant jail time. Clearly Sunak has not said, sex offenders shouldn't go to prison. So yes its a lie.

Who here thinks that a 16 year old who has sex with a 15 year old who they are dating, should go to prison? Not me.

How does "supreme authority" over UK law affect the sentence issued by a judge? Which part of the judiciary being independent don't you get?

According to the ad, Labour will lock up 16 year old who have sexual encounters with their boyfriend or girlfriend if they are 15. Do you agree?
They will also lock up under 18s who have sex with under age children, who lie about their age. Do you agree?
If a 15 year old sends an explicit pic of themselves to someone. Labour will lock them up. Do you agree?

Or perhaps do you think that its actually quite a complex area, and that the sentencing guidelines have gone to great precautions to set guidelines that make sense. Guidelines that were created under the last labour government.

which are here:

All of a sudden you are worried about a lie? What about all the Bojo lies and Brexit lies yet this is the hill you chose to die on - hypocrite 101.

I'm surprised Starmar hasn't distanced himself from this.

The ad is clearly a lie and Starmer's own record on prosecuting crime while at the CPS is pretty avg. at best.
This is a deliberate provocative trap set by Labour

We know the Conservatives will fight an extremely dishonest and dirty campaign, they already are

the faux outrage by Tory MPs against the Labour advert will rather spoil any dishonest messaging the Tories had no doubt planned to do in the future.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

The Tories will fight the next election on culture wars as they have failed miserably whilst in power, Labour may as well get out in front as the Tories won't be holding back.

The Tories created this situation.

These type of ads are par for the course in todays political caper

I think that we should measure the distance between everybodys eyes. Those with too short a distance should be hung.

When we've finished hanging them, we should start the measuring of the earlobes.
