This Forum looks incredibly lifeless without any real splashes of colour whatsoever.

It's always been that way; it's called understated. Unable to see what is wrong with it, personally. Aren't avatars the cyber space equivalent of tatoos?

This is a palace compared to that extremely basic and cheap looking Screwfix forum that you used to love!

I agree, Screwfix used to be a decent forum, probably 4 years ago, I like it here though, it has the right balance of trade related posts and a bit of Banter.
