Pretty much. Why would you bother?
I guess for me I like to know its clean after I've done it, that the fuelsaver hx I've masked up and scrubbed and washed isn't producing 2k + ppm still, gently wafting across the outside seating area from the balanced flue. Or that the highflow balanced flue isn't so rotten at the spigot that it'll be sooted up again before I get off the drive or that a prima flue I cant see throughout isn't corroded and about to begin vitiating. So peace of mind for me I suppose, just cant imagine why anyone wouldn't do it.
As above. Where do you take a correct and accurate reading from on them and how? Do you do it with fire front off?
MIs trump all and there is no need to take an FGA from these.
@Steelmasons is that on commercial setups or ALL boilers? Atmospherics and forced draught? Radiant tube heaters?

Seen many atmospheric (Ideal Concorde/CX/CXA/Hamworthy) with cracked burners (CO in excess of 80k), overhead heaters (AmbiRad) are also analysed.
How else would you set up a forced draught without analyser???
These are mostly schools.
Seen many a concord with cracked burner bars. I spot them normally when I take them out and check them.
Forced draught was why I asked that question. It's also why I asked ALL or a domestic or commercial situation? Would you FGA a 30 year old OF appliance in domestic?
Most of mine was schools, leisure centres, and LA buildings mostly. Stopped commercial a few years back but still interested.

How else would you set up a forced draught without analyser???
