Hi guys, just thought I would post again to say I've finished my first hole. Took me about 4 hours to put together and then a bit of painting. Apart from the green matting, which cost £6 per roll (1x2m) everything else was sourced for free, ie. pre-made wooden frames and chipboard which I found lying around in copious amounts a couple of days ago.
It's a simple design, just a bog standard rectangle with an object to navigate around (the classic windmill), but I aim to introduce more complex designs as I move forward. It is very sturdy and takes foot traffic with ease.
Oh, and the kids absolutely love it
Haha Nah, the good old industrial estate salvage. I used 2 boards in this hole out of 10 that I could fit in my car, and that still left a huge pile!In other words, someone's wondering where their shed went nah, good job mate, looks like fun and not too bulky.
Exactly! I'm not expecting it to last forever, but for just a few hours DIY and a few quid spent we'll definitely get our money's worth of family fun out of it.....Always the optimist....
Looks canny OP, waterproof/protect it where you can, and if you get a couple of summers of fun out of it, jobs a goodun
I love anything like this, crazy but joyful
