f anyone could give me a rough ball park cost for the following work that would be great. Had two very different quotes and wanted to see who is more realistic

Supply and replace 3 port valve head on cylinder

Supply and fit new cylinderthermostat

Rewire central heating controller to provide independent control of heating and hot water

Manual flush of 5 radiators

Update

Had rads flushed, Loads of gunge came out. System drained and refilled. New three port valve on but not wired yet as sparky didn’t turn up lol

Heating on and still same problem. Two rads nearest cylinder red hot and fill pipes to others red hot to touch but rads themselves not working well at all

Popping noise also in the ones that are on

Driving me mad, could it be the pump?

I take it you chose the cheap plumber?

Why is a spark having anything to do with your heating system?

New cylinder stat to be fitted and the valve needs wiring to the Honeywell programmer

Does that make sense?

No. I would expect any plumber or heating engineer who takes on the job of installing those items to be able to cope with the wiring too. Would be doubting their competence if they couldn't.
