Balls of Steel

I met this bloke at a party of a friends a few weeks ago. A very freindly chap who was well spoken. I had no idea who he was (and I had watched balls of steel many times).

He explained he was a bit part actor and a wanted to write more than act. He could imitate any accent and was highly amusing. He even told me his name to which I didnt pick up on, and that he used to be on balls of steel. The penny then dropped, and although his antics are not to be proud of, I do have a wry smile at some.

Heres one as most cannot be viewed online anymore due to copyright.

He did explain that all victims had been set up by friends, but the ex security guard (you will see) was not planned and did laugh about it.

What a prize nobhead for all the other young nobheads to copy and aspire to, as if the chavs of today need any more encouragement.
It won't be long and everyone will need a machine gun nest on the roof.

It would have been funny though, if his mate had of stalled the f*ckin car.

I see your point sooey. The programme was aired late (suppose its makes no difference if you dont care what your kids watch.)

Is it as bad as the bloke who squirted Tom Cruise with water?

I can say in the 4 or 5 years since its been broadcast have I ever heard about any burgers being thrown from vehicals. (except that lottery thug, where Neg probably got the idea, as he did it over 12 months before.)

It's just another example of 'quality tv' in the modern era, amidst a general lowering of standards across the broad spectrum of society.
I never thought I'd say it, but Mary Whitehouse was right. The telly isn't the only thing responsible for the general attitude of todays kids. But it goes a long way towards it.

I'd have trouble saying that too
dont you just mean....tv sucks

Yeah, and newspapers, and rap and hiphop, and paralysing political correctness and celeb celeb etc etc

balls of steel is legendary. I don't know many people that don't find at least some of it funny.
As for its influence...well I personally think anyone who is heavily influenced by what they watch on tv, films, comupter games etc. probably didn't have much hope in life in the first place and just need an excuse to do something stupid....Typical of modern society, nobody is bad, its always someone/something elses fault for "influencing" people....

Give it a rest mickey, You'll be telling us next that people aren't influenced heavily by advertising. Which makes you wonder why companies spend billions on it. Monkey see monkey do, people are no different.

think you'll find that the majority of advertising is brand recognition. Making you constantly aware of a product so then when such a time comes you need such product your aware of one of the big players and their claims. So your likely to start with them, but doesn't mean it influences you to buy the product. Are you saying that advertising influences you to buy stuff?
