So am I to understand that you'll be using this adhesive on the next bit of floor tiling onto floorboards you do? Or will you get a man in?

I renovate houses for a living - floor to roof.

I don't get 'men' in. (ooer missus).

I'll try it if I think it suits the situation. Time's money - and this stuff is quick.

The trouble is, if you're just renovating houses, you won't know whether the tiles will still be down after a few weeks use cause it'll be sold and not your problem.
I went to price up tiling 2 en-suites for a couple of blokes that renovate property. I told him that the floors wanted overboarding or the tiles would come up in a few weeks. They said they weren't bothered cause they were selling it soon. Let's just say I didn't do the work for them.

I'm not that type, gcol.

I do the job as I would do it if I were to live there for years.

If the poster wants to play safe then of course he can do as you suggest, but at the end of the day it's his decision.

I've never bought a product from Wickes that didn't work, but maybe I've either been lucky or followed the instructions.

It shouldn't be rocket science to make a product that is (probably) latex based that stretches with the timber. Polymerised products have come a long way.
