Does anyone know more than me about this please.
Bought this 300 pound cabinet second hand for a 100 pounds. It’s a Victorian plumbing cabinet. Now it’s been up about 4/5 weeks and the power light has always been white. Now I get up in night come into the bathroom and it’s now changed to blue and it occasionally flickers through it like a bad connection. When I turn it on it is white as it always has been and all the side lights work as well. So taken the panel off and thought it will prob be the led transformer or loose connection. Tested a solid 12v dc supply out of that and it’s all working except this issue. Cut off all the crimp connections remade them all and all into wagos to be certain of that. So only leaves me to think the touch sensor board must have leds built in and is faulty but no idea how to split the door open at present. Think this could be a hazard left like this? It’s only low voltage.

Bought this 300 pound cabinet second hand for a 100 pounds. It’s a "Victorian Plumbing" cabinet. That which you seem to be saying is that
the "Light adjusting touch switch"
(as it is described in https://www.victorianplumbing.co.uk...nti-fog-dimmer-touch-sensor-and-shaver-socket )
used to glow "White"
but
now glows "Blue", when the side lights are not turned ON - and occasionally "flickers".

However, it does glow "White" when the side lights are turned ON.

Without further knowledge of this product, or knowledge from anyone who has this or a related product,
one can only guess that this may be the way the that the "Light adjusting touch switch" is designed to "light up"
("Blue" when not in operation and "White" when in operation.)

(Perhaps you did not notice this previously ?!?!)

In any case, as long as everything else keeps working, I suggest that you cease worrying about it.
I doubt that it could be a "hazard" in any way.

While this product had, from the original seller ("Victorian Plumbing")
Guarantee: 12 Months against faulty workmanship or materials (excluding serviceable parts), provided they have been installed, cared for, and used in accordance with the provided instructions.
you obtained it second-hand, for a third of its new price
and
you have "modified" it.

One may wonder why it was sold (second hand) at such a reduced price.

You are correct and definitely never shone blue until a couple of nights ago was always white I have looked at the wiring diagram and it looks like it is leds built into the switch board so can’t even disconnect them, thing is when I went to buy It it was white, also it has been white for 4 weeks now has gone blue very strange

It was blue all the time for 2 days
Cut power tried reset no good chopped all butt connectors and tested output of psu 12vdc solid put it all back together Sunday night ****ed off still the same
Home from work yesterday and now it’s not lit just see the white button and still working can’t get my head round it
Tried to long press try different press methods other day nothing mate I’m lost but not moaning

Is it "Blue" only at night, when the room is dark no
No mate this is weird as anything. So the button is white let’s just say for argument sake it is a white overlay etched into the glass. So I went to look at it in his garage and it was white. I came home I installed it in the pitch black and it was white. Always white never seen it blue. Press button it lights white. Hold button down stays white and dims the side lights. 4/5 weeks been fitted never been blue. Then I get up at 3am for a **** walk in and notice it’s blue mate. Tiniest of flickers. Go to bed wake up in morning still blue. Had a play with button said to her it’s blue she like I noticed that. Said I never seen it blue. Blue all day and next. Get home from work turned power off hoping reset would fix turn on still blue. Strip top down remade all connections to switch board with wagos checked voltage of led driver. Checked wiring diagram later on to see if any extra wires u could disconnect etc. put it all back together and it’s still blue. Holding the button in for 30 seconds trying all types of presses holds etc it’s still blue all day and night. Then wake up next morning and second day it’s working as it should so I’m lost pal

This is now working like this 2 days how it should but how is the question
