People keep talking to me about snow chains ,I havent got a clue about them

For the sake of loosing a day or two wages stay at home with your feet up, it's different in Germany where the snow lies around for two or three months due to the cold, in th UK the snow usually dissapears by dinnertime, not befor a few thousand people have written off their cars or suffered broken limbs etc. for what?? when you're on your deathbed and you look back over your life will you regret missing a few days work due to bad weather??

Dont stop there, i'm after a new record, surely we can get a few pages on this topic, after all it is the most talked about topic in the UK apparently.

Whatever happened to global warming?this contradicts the predictions made 30 years ago by the so called "experts"according to their computer models of predicted climate change by this stage winters should be getting milder and wetter and summers drier and hotter.

what it does prove is that the Experts need to have their computers looked at they are obviously on the blink

The newspaper spoke to Jennifer Francis, a researcher at Rutgers University. She said,. “We can’t make predictions yet … [but] I wouldn’t be surprised to see wild extremes this winter.”

They can't predict yet so why mention it.I wouldn't be surprised if its a normal one, whatever normal is.

Well it doesn't really. It's all to do with the Jet Stream which works like a curtain between northern weather (cold) and southern weather (warm).

Normally it would be far north in winter up near Norway, but in the past year or two it has moved way down over France - so we get the Northern weather (cold). That's also why we had such a wet summer - once again the jet stream was way too far south. That's climate change that is.

It all hinges on whether the conveyor belt is travelling faster than the jetstream, if the speed is matched then the jetstream won't lift ;)

We had all better rush out and buy winter tyres, I keep seeing the ads on tv so its obviously essential
