Bats.. question to roofers

We tried an ultrasonic deterrent but found it didnt deter bats from entering our attic.

Those 'toy' ones, generally available, generating a few milliwatts, will not be very effective. They are intended to annoy, rather than disrupt their radar.

If they are so rare and endangered how come they are bleedin everywhere when someone has some money to spend on an extension. Same with great crested Nnewts - they are so rare that every time a builder wants to spend millions on a housing estate they seem to be there and the tweeds want their share of those millions. Bats and newts are more related to cows than anything else (cash cows )

I had to have a bat survey carried out on a house i once owned. It took several days and cost a fair chunk.

They found a couple of species of bats:

Cricket bats
Baseball bats
