Hi all,
Model: Baxi 105e (not instant)
Symptom: when turning on hot water (CH turned off), I get hottish water, but also start to get CH.
I notice that both the microswitches come on. If I select just CH, just the top one comes on. I've searched the forums, but there doesn't seem to be any mention of both microswitches activating. Could this be due to anything other than the diverter being stuck halfway? Is it possible to overhaul these diverters, or is it replacement only?

Thanks in advance,
Crispin

yep, sounds like the diverter valve is letting by to the rads, the front micro switch is for hotwater so shouldn't make for heating, you can prove its letting by if you turn off the isolating valve to rads on the flow pipe underneath the boiler, this should make the hot water hotter when used, be careful some of these valves can leak when turned on so unless you are confident don't bother. i've always changed these valves, don't think you can repair them but im positive someone will tell you if they have.

OK, thanks for the info. I notice that when replacing the diverter, Baxi don't supply the washers with the valve(!). Any ideas what size/type I need? I may be getting the valve via t'internet, otherwise I'd just look at the thing to work it out...

Just order them seperately at the same time as the DV. Probably cost you a couple of quid extra.

That was my plan, but if ordering on the web, unless I have a part number or know sizes/types I'm a bit stuck.

Right for my (and anyone else in the same situation) reference, they are:
Part No: 247745
GC No: 343652
Washer 3/4 17x24x2mm

Part No: 248021
GC No: 343586
O-Ring Seal 17.86x2.62mm Primary HE

Part No: 248062
GC No: E66434
Diverter Valve Assy

Part No: 248018
GC No: E03268
O-Ring

Got them from Parts Arena's splendid website which requires an ActiveX plugin, so had to find a machine running Windows...
