Do you think there should be wealth equality then? Everyone having the same irrelevant of effort or talent. We have vehicle inequality, intelligence inequality, fitness inequality…

The fact is the world is made up of different people.

There comes a point when around half your income goes in tax that the incentive to find solutions increases.

You seem to have a chip that people who you consider are less talented, smart than yourself make more money? But you’ve said yourself you aren’t motivated by earning money. So surely this is your choice vs theirs?

Work is work, charity is charity, I don't work for the fun of it, even if it is occasionally fun, mostly it isn't. I don't expect others who make more to subsidise me. I like the idea of every person who can, striving to stand on their own feet and not blame wealthier people for that fact they haven't applied themselves. Of course there are many who can't, but if you choose a job because you enjoy it and make enough, don't get upset that others make more and pretend its unjust.

during the years of austerity, from 2010 to 2020 the richest increased their wealth yet the majority of citizens had found wages stagnated

people in top positions in companies now get salary packages multiple times bigger than they did in 2010, but the wages of ordinary workers has not

it has nothing to do with a "chip on the shoulder"

what is unjust is the the political system in this country allow the wealthiest to influence the govt for vested self interest

"Compared to other developed countries the UK has a very unequal distribution of income, with a Gini coefficient of 0.351. The UK has one of the highest levels of income inequality in Europe, although it is less unequal than the United States."

I'm a broken record on the following point because a) it's obvious and b) rightly or wrongly it's also obvious it'll never change. The point ...

We have rich people, we have poor people. We have those with, we have those without. Is it morally right? Possibly not. However it's a multi-faceted situation with lots of reasons why we do (have rich and poor) and if anyone thinks it'll ever change, they're deluded.

We don't live in a world where morals and parity are the priority.

Who has suggested that?
