Point taken, but by looks of the photos, it all is prolly ok, just that whoever designed it never stopped to think of the effect of lateral forces on the structure.never said it had, and as the O/P says it wasnt an issue here - however failing to comply with regs is failing to comply and would make you wonder what else was missed - no?
